Finca Lombardia is surrounded by many farms that used to cultivate coffee but have been ceasing to do so over the years due to the drastic drop in profits from coffee farming.
The lands used for coffee have been burned to create space for corn plantations.
This type of plantation is responsible for the desertification that affects this area and Finca Lombardia is the last forest with a rich biodiversity.
This increases the challenge of constantly producing high quality specialty coffees.
To fight this, Rodolfo Ruffatti, who’s in charge of Finca Lombardia, has been diversifying the varieties of trees within the farm to help fight desertification and improve the environment.
Coffee Batches are meticulously processed by the Productor Coffee team to achieve a clean, balanced and sweet flavour profile year after year.
