Andalusia AeroPress Championship 2022
Once again, and with great enthusiasm, Ineffable Coffee has organized the 2022 Andalucía AeroPress Championship, taking place on Saturday, June 4th.
What we'd like to highlight, above all, is that the championship was once again a great coffee celebration, where we all came together to have a good time and create coffee culture, in addition to, of course, competing.
After a year-long hiatus and the 2021 edition, which still saw some restrictions, we're back with a vengeance for the 2022 edition of the Andalucía AeroPress Championship.

And not just us, but everyone, including the competitors and the public. We broke the participation record with 33 competitors and, in our estimations, also the record for the audience.
This time, given the success of the competition, the seven finalists moved on to the national competition. We're confident that Andalusia will be well represented in the national final, which will take place on October 30, 2022, in Madrid.
Furthermore, we are in luck, as Jose Titos, who finished second in Andalusia, won the 2022 Spain AeroPress Championship . Congratulations to Jose Titos, and we are thrilled that he will be representing us in the World AeroPress Championship in Vancouver, December 1-3, 2022.

What is an AeroPress Championship?
But you might be wondering what an AeroPress competition is and how it works. It's quite simple. Do you know how to make coffee with an AeroPress (if not, we explain it here )? Well, it's a competition to see who can make the best AeroPress coffee, following a specific time and rules .
It is divided into phases or rounds. The first phase consists of tables of up to four people, followed by the quarterfinals, the semifinals, and the final.
All competitors use the same coffee, of which 250 grams are sent beforehand so they can test their recipe, along with another 250 grams of the exact same coffee and roast that will be used on the day of the competition. Competitors have five minutes to create the recipe. There are some requirements when preparing it: a maximum of 18 grams of coffee can be used per brew, and at least 150 ml of the beverage must be served to the judges.
There is a panel of judges, who on this occasion were: Laura Cabrera, Anete Dinne, Félix Donosti and Carlos Zavala
And we are very grateful to them. They judge each round of creation and decide which is the best.

What's happening at the Andalucía AeroPress Championship?
Well, a great coffee festival. Along with the competition, which is open to the public, we have a small market, coffee demonstrations, food trucks, live music, a DJ, table football, and lots of good vibes. It's an event suitable for all audiences, including families with children and pets.
This year, Kima Coffee, Santa Roaster, It's Only Water, Kombucha-T Handcrafted Drinks, Desiderata, Proust Sevilla, Drip Coffee Wear, Monez Lesenfants, Claudia Aguilar, and Jose Quiles, among others, also collaborated.
All this is possible, in addition to your enthusiasm and effort, thanks to the collaboration of our partners, which on this occasion have been: WAC , Spain AeroPress Championship , La Marzocco , Complementos del Café and Sucafina Specialty .
And for the help and enthusiasm of everyone who comes.
