The Hario digital scale is a kitchen scale specially designed for preparing coffee since it has a built-in stopwatch.

This scale measures two important parameters in every coffee recipe: weight and time. It does so simultaneously thanks to its split digital display. This allows us to weigh the coffee or water while controlling, for example, the brewing time.

Why is a scale important for making coffee?

Whenever we prepare a coffee, regardless of which one, we are following a recipe.
