Moccamaster KBGT

The Moccamaster KBGT is a filter coffee maker designed for those who want to brew a generous amount of coffee simply and consistently. Handmade in the Netherlands, it combines Moccamaster's characteristic build quality with a brewing system that carefully controls temperature and extraction time.

Its copper heating element brings the water to a temperature of 92–96 °C, allowing the coffee to be extracted evenly while preserving its characteristics. The KBGT brews a full 1.25-litre carafe in approximately 6 minutes, equivalent to around 10 cups of coffee.

The water is distributed evenly over the ground coffee, promoting a consistent extraction. The result is balanced, consistent filter coffee without the need for manual adjustments during brewing.

One of the KBGT's main features is its thermal carafe. Unlike models equipped with a glass carafe and hot plate, the KBGT uses a stainless steel carafe with a glass interior to keep coffee hot for longer without exposing it to continuous heat.

The carafe can maintain a temperature of approximately 80 °C for up to 3 hours, depending on the conditions of use. This allows you to brew coffee in advance and serve it gradually without having to keep the coffee maker switched on.

The KBGT uses No. 4 paper filters and features a drip-stop system that interrupts the flow when the carafe is removed. The water-level indicator makes it easy to brew the desired amount, while its straightforward operation makes it particularly suitable for everyday use.

Like other Moccamaster coffee makers, the KBGT is designed with durability and repairability in mind. Its components can be replaced and the brand provides spare parts, helping to extend the coffee maker's service life. It also comes with a 5-year warranty.
