On June 22nd, we held the 2019 Andalucía AeroPress Championship at Ineffable Coffee . Once again, we had the pleasure of welcoming great baristas, roasters, and enthusiasts from our growing coffee community in Andalusia.
The competition was a resounding success, filled with beautiful moments, hugs, excitement, and a lot of sportsmanship from the no fewer than 30 competitors, ensuring six representatives from Andalusia in the grand national final!
The coveted first place went to José Quiles, who was unstoppable on his way to the final and gave none of the great baristas who stood before him a chance.In second and third place, Martín Castillejo and Levente Lajtai, gave the judges a very tough time in a thrilling final. The event maintained its celebratory, good-natured, and party-like atmosphere, as is traditional for an AeroPress Championship. Despite the high temperatures typical of Seville in June, there was no shortage of cold craft beer, live music, food, games, and, of course, La Marzocco PBX, which never stopped pouring espressos all afternoon.
